Skiplagged has a new look. Here’s what’s new, what hasn’t changed, and how our fee works.
Skiplagged has a new look. New logo, new colors, and a faster way to search. But underneath, we’re the same crafty deal-seekers we’ve been since 2013.
Our job hasn’t changed: help travelers outsmart the system so they can explore more for less. This update gets you to those insider prices in a way that’s faster and easier.
Here’s what’s new, what’s staying exactly the same, and how our fee works.
What’s new
Our logo
In travel, an asterisk usually means there’s a catch. A fee you didn’t see coming. A rule buried in the fine print.
We put one in our logo on purpose. For us, the asterisk stands for the things the travel industry doesn’t advertise: the routes, fares, and tricks that let you go further for less. Consider it reclaimed. Our fine print is actually good news.
One search for flights, stays, and cars
There’s now one easy way to browse it all. Toggle between flights, stays, and cars right from search.
Price Hacker
You booked your flight. Then the price dropped. Price Hacker keeps watching your fare after you book. If it drops $15 or more, we modify your reservation and send you the difference as airline credit.1
No more checking prices after you’ve already paid.
What hasn’t changed
Skiplagging, the original travel hack
Sometimes a flight with a layover costs less than a nonstop to the layover city. Skiplagging (also called hidden-city) means booking that cheaper ticket and getting off at the layover. Same airline, same seat, smarter price.
Travelers save $180 on average on skiplagging fares.2 To do it well, bring only a carry-on or personal item, since a checked bag goes to the final destination on your ticket. We walk you through the rest before you book.
Built for travelers
The travel industry wasn’t built for travelers, but we are. Skiplagged is employee-owned, and we answer to the people who fly with us, not to the travel industry. (Even when they try to shut us down!) New here? See whether Skiplagged is legit.
How our fee works
No fee unless we save you money. Here’s what that means when you book:
- Regular flights: Skiplagged doesn’t charge a booking fee. If you want extras, you can add the Skiplagged Benefits package at checkout. It includes the Skiplagged Guarantee and lets you earn Skiplagged travel credit.
- Skiplagging fares: our fee is a share of the savings we find you. The Skiplagged Guarantee is included, and you earn Skiplagged travel credit on the booking.
Airline taxes and fees still apply, just like anywhere else you book.
The Skiplagged Guarantee3 is our backup plan for when an airline cancels or reroutes your flight. Rebook through Skiplagged, send us a request within 24 hours of your original departure, and we’ll pay the fare difference, up to a limit. You’ll find the full details in our terms.
That’s the new Skiplagged. Same mission: outsmart the system, explore more for less.
Got a trip you’ve been putting off? Search it and see what we find.
